About Me

Hi, my name is Raymond Ko (Ray), aka the Freedive Nomad. I’ve returned to Taiwan to teach English freediving courses in Taipei and Xiaoliuqiu.

After 20 years of being chained to a desk in the finance industry, getting laid off launched me into my dream career. In the months leading up to the event, I had taken a couple of freediving courses in Xiaoliuqiu. Books like The Blue Mind and Steven Kotler’s writings about the flow state had only stoked my interest. I had discovered my greatest passion in life, thanks especially to the incredible sense of freedom and tranquility this sport provides.

Now, as a certified instructor (certified by one of the top educators in the world, Oli Christen, Head of Education at Molchanov) and Founder of Freediving Nomad, I feel honored to provide my students with an opportunity to experience firsthand the life-changing wonders of freediving.

Other than teaching freediving, I'm also a breath coach teaching "Breahtwork for Stress" courses and run a digital marketing agency Blue Mind Digital
